  • It is hard to place all the blame only he school, they cannot control the actions of the students at all times. It does not seem like the parents in these cases tried very hard to make the school do something.

  • Hey JersyMom - my daughter is only 22 years old -- graduated in 2006 from HS. Was a cheerleader and gymnast since age 6.

  • Quit hating on cheerleaders - my daughter was one and she grew up just fine - college educated, working FT and stays fit by taking dance.

  • Actually, Texas is home to a large number of migrant workers who come and work in the fields in California, Oregon and Washington in the summer and return to Texas in the winter.

  • Moonlighting - In answer to your question. I have worked for the past 30 years in social services. I currently work for a non-profit in CA that assits farmworkers (legal residents only) with job training and other social services.

  • You are ignorant - illegals cannot get welfare -- where do you people get this stuff -- I work in social services and illegals are not elilgible for government assistance.

  • And yes we can do alot of the jobs they are now hiring the illegals for. As for the crop jobs, teens and college kids use to do that too. And still would. But, I wouldn't want my child picking strawberries next to an illegal. Would any of us?

  • "Americans" may love those jobs you mentioned, but the majority of those jobs are held by legal workers (guess you see a Mexican and assume illegal) -- most fast food, department stores and even construction jobs do not pay workers cash, so they have to check their residency status and obtain a SS …
